While working with Thomson Reuters, I managed social media for FindLaw Canada. This site is home to legal information and news for the average person. There is also a listing of lawyers in Canada.
The main goal for the social media pages was to raise awareness of the information available on the website, and to drive traffic to it. During my time with the company, I was able to achieve this goal with a marked increase in both page follows and site traffic from social media.
One of the strategies to raise awareness was to have all the contributors to the website create company related Twitter accounts. They then shared content that they posted, as well as shared news stories and tweets that they found of interest. This allowed fans of the site to follow specific contributors whose content and point of view they enjoyed.
